GICHD Outlook Report 2022

THE RESULTS-BASED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AT THE GICHD

The GICHD is guided by a results-based management (RBM) system towards implementing its Strategy (2019–2022) efficiently and effectively. Concretely, this RBM system helps the Centre plan, budget, implement, and review activities aimed at achieving progress towards its 11 Immediate Outcomes (IOs), both at field level and globally. The RBM system includes a monitoring framework through which the Centre collects and analyses data at project,

programme and IO levels, enabling it to document credibly and reliably its results and to share this information with a variety of stakeholders. The Centre routinely improves the planning and implementation of projects and programmes that contribute to the 11 IOs through learning, from both success and failure, and adaptation. The RBM system ultimately aims at ensuring that the GICHD has a relevant and lasting impact on affected communities.
